Jo-Anne Stephens

Jo-Anne Stephens is a Partner at Bransens who brings with her over fifteen years of legal experience.  She specialises in establishing corporate and trust structures for high net worth individuals in order to meet their wealth or estate planning needs. She regularly advises trustees, settlors, beneficiaries and protectors and advises on various areas of trusts law.

Jo-Anne also specialises in advising investment managers, fund administrators, companies in the establishment and operation of mutual funds particularly unit trusts, private funds,  employee benefits schemes, pension plans, share trusts and other commercial trusts.  

Jo-Anne also assists high net worth individuals with the relocation of the family and their businesses to the Cayman Islands. 

Jo-Anne has consistently received the distinctions of a being a “Recommended Lawyer” and “Rising Star” by the Legal 500.  Jo-Anne has been a speaker at international conferences including the Step Global Congress and Private Client Series.

Jo-Anne is a member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP) and Cayman Islands Law Practitioners Association.

In 2016, she was awarded the Student Award worldwide and the following year she received the STEP Student Award for the Caribbean and Latin American Region.  She has also been the recipient of 4 STEP Excellence Awards.
